Flixster: box office movies, all movies and TV shows in one bright catalogue
Flixster is built for the question every movie night starts with: what should we watch? It gathers the box office hits, every film from the classics to this year's releases, Bollywood beside Hollywood, and the TV shows people follow, all on a soft lavender page with a blue header. Every title is rated, every series lists its dated episodes, and Watch Now opens each one on the services carrying it in your country.
This page is the long guide. It explains the layout and the tools, then walks through the shelves, from the all-time box office and the big releases of 2026 to the superheroes, the animated favourites, the great sagas, Bollywood and the TV shows. Jump to any part below.
The name and flixster.live
The layout of this Flixster comes from flixster.live, a site that used the name in 2022 and 2023, along with its sister flixster.pro. Its front page had a strong blue header with the menu in tall capital letters, Box Office Movies, All Movies, Genre and Most Viewed, and a white search box on the right.
Below it sat a pale lavender page with blue section labels. The first read Top Box Office, with three tabs beside it, Featured, Most Favorite and Top IMDb, and a View More link at the far right. The second read Newly Added Movies, and under each label ran a row of posters eight across, each with its title and year on a dark band at its foot.
The dark navy footer carried a row of rounded tag pills. This Flixster keeps all of that and adds a full catalogue underneath.
An independent catalogue
Flixster is also the name of a well-known movie service run by Fandango, with its own app, its own digital movie codes and its own address. This catalogue is separate from that service and independent of it.
That is why it carries its own mark, a white play disc beside a tall white wordmark, in place of the popcorn logo flixster.live used. For Flixster Video codes, UltraViolet redemptions or a Fandango account, head to Fandango's own app and website; the name and addresses guide explains more.
What this Flixster offers is a clean way to find a film or a series and see where it plays in your country.
Blue, lavender and posters
The page is bright and calm. The header is a strong royal blue, with the mark on the left, a thin white divider, and the menu in white capitals set in the tall, narrow Oswald typeface. The page underneath is a soft lavender grey that lets the posters stand out.
Each section starts with a sky-blue label with slightly rounded top corners, sitting on a thin blue line that runs the width of the page. The posters are the stars: tall, with softly rounded corners, and framed in blue when you point at them.
At the bottom, the navy footer holds the tag pills, a few words about the site and the TMDB credit.
Labels and tabs
The blue labels are how Flixster organises the page. Top Box Office comes first, and beside it sit three tabs taken straight from flixster.live: Featured, which shows the box office shelf itself, Most Favorite, which opens the titles people are watching most, and Top IMDb, which opens the best-rated list.
Every label has a View More link at the far right that opens the full list. On list pages, a row of white buttons under the label lets you jump between Box Office, All Movies, TV Shows, Most Viewed, Top IMDb and Newly Added.
It is a quick way to change your mood without leaving the page.
Reading a poster
Every poster tells you what you need before you click. A small yellow HD flag in the top right corner marks a movie, and a blue Eps flag in the top left marks a series, with the number of dated episodes it holds.
At the foot of the poster, a dark band carries the title and year in white, and under it a small yellow badge shows the TMDB audience score out of ten, in the same yellow flixster.live used for its IMDb ratings.
Point at a poster and a blue frame appears around it; the whole poster is one link.
Newly Added Movies
Newly Added Movies was the second band on the flixster.live front page, and it is here too. It lists the films in the catalogue by release date, newest first, and only counts films that are already out, so the top row is always this month's releases.
Right now it is full of 2026 titles from Hollywood and Bollywood side by side. The full list goes back through every year.
Check it once a week and you will always know what just came out.
The front page
The front page opens with Top Box Office: sixteen films with the biggest audiences behind them, led right now by The Odyssey, Project Hail Mary, Avengers: Endgame, Avatar: Fire and Ash and Interstellar.
Next comes Newly Added Movies, sorted by release date with the newest first, so the grid changes as new films arrive. Then TV Shows, sorted by their newest dated episode, Coming in 2026, Bollywood, and Help, with this guide at the end.
Each label's View More link opens the full list behind it.
A title page
Open any title and its page starts with a wide backdrop from the film or series, dimmed a little, with a big round blue play button in the middle that jumps straight to Watch Now.
Under the backdrop sits a white panel. The poster rises over the edge of the backdrop on the left, with its HD or Eps flag, and on the right comes the title in blue over a soft diagonal blue stripe, just as flixster.live styled its film titles. Then the buttons: Watch Now in blue with a darker edge, Add to My List, and Seasons for a series.
The story follows, and then the details in two columns: the original title, the language, the release date, the runtime, the genres, the stars, the director, the country, the studio and the rating.
The all-time box office
The Box Office Movies shelf gathers the films with the biggest audiences, and the all-time champions are here. Avengers: Endgame and Avatar stand at the very top of cinema history, with Avatar: The Way of Water, Titanic and Avengers: Infinity War close behind.
Spider-Man: No Way Home, Jurassic World Rebirth, The Lion King, Frozen II, Barbie and The Super Mario Bros. Movie are more of the billion-dollar hits, and Inside Out 2 became the biggest animated film of its year.
Most of them stream on the big services, often with several audio languages; Watch Now shows where.
The big films of 2026
This year's box office is packed. The Odyssey is Christopher Nolan's epic of Homer's hero finding his way home, Project Hail Mary sends Ryan Gosling alone into space to save the Sun, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day brings Tom Holland back to New York.
The Mandalorian and Grogu takes the Star Wars pair to the cinema, Toy Story 5 and Minions & Monsters are for families, and Disclosure Day is Steven Spielberg's new mystery.
New films usually reach the streaming services a few weeks or months after cinemas; add them to My List and check Watch Now.
More from 2026
The rest of the year is just as busy. Supergirl continues the new DC story, Masters of the Universe brings He-Man to the big screen, and Mortal Kombat II returns to the tournament. Scream 7, Resident Evil, Evil Dead Burn and Backrooms bring the scares.
Greenland 2: Migration, The Wrecking Crew, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War, Crime 101, Apex and War Machine are the action films, Michael tells the story of Michael Jackson, and The Devil Wears Prada 2 brings back Miranda Priestly.
The New in 2026 shelf gathers them all, from every country.
The hits of 2025
Last year's films are already streaming. Sinners was the surprise of the year, a vampire story set in the Mississippi Delta with a blues soundtrack, and Weapons the horror mystery everyone argued about. One Battle After Another brought Paul Thomas Anderson and Leonardo DiCaprio together.
Superman, The Fantastic 4: First Steps and Thunderbolts* carried the superheroes, How to Train Your Dragon and Lilo & Stitch remade animated favourites in live action, and 28 Years Later returned to the infected Britain of 28 Days Later.
Predator: Badlands, The Running Man, Ballerina, The Gorge and A Working Man complete a strong year for action.
The hits of 2024
Deadpool & Wolverine was the superhero hit of 2024, Dune: Part Two the science-fiction epic, and The Substance the body-horror sensation that won Demi Moore awards all season. The Brutalist followed an architect across three decades of American life.
For families, The Wild Robot, Inside Out 2, Moana 2, Mufasa: The Lion King, Despicable Me 4 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 filled the cinemas, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Venom: The Last Dance, Kraven the Hunter and The Beekeeper brought the action.
Marvel
The Marvel films run from Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk through Iron Man 2, Thor and The Avengers, to Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War.
Then come Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, and after them Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic 4: First Steps.
Deadpool, Deadpool 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine are the rowdy side, and X-Men: Days of Future Past is the mutants' finest hour.
Spider-Man
Spider-Man has more films on Flixster than any other hero. Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3 started the modern run, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 followed, and Tom Holland took the suit in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse reinvented what animation can look like, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives this year.
Search Spider-Man and every one appears in a single grid.
Batman, Superman and DC
Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises are the gold standard of superhero films, and The Batman brought a darker detective to Gotham. Joker told the villain's own story.
Man of Steel introduced Henry Cavill's Superman, Superman started a new chapter in 2025, and Supergirl follows this year. The Suicide Squad is the wild one, and Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall brings a famous comic story to animation.
The Superheroes shelf gathers Marvel and DC together.
Christopher Nolan
Christopher Nolan's films are some of the most rewatched in the catalogue. Inception follows a thief who steals secrets from dreams, Interstellar sends astronauts through a wormhole, and Oppenheimer swept the Oscars with the story of the atomic bomb. The Prestige is his puzzle about two rival magicians.
This year's The Odyssey is his biggest film yet, and a perfect reason to revisit the others. Pair it with Troy for another take on the Trojan War.
Science fiction
The science-fiction shelf spans fifty years. Star Wars started it all in 1977, Alien and Aliens trapped Ripley with the perfect monster, and Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049 imagined a rainy, neon future.
The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day sent machines back in time, The Matrix bent reality, and Dune and Dune: Part Two brought Arrakis to life. The Martian is the funniest survival story in space, and Men in Black the funniest alien invasion on Earth.
The Sci-Fi and Fantasy shelf has them all.
Action
For pure adrenaline, Mad Max: Fury Road is two hours of glorious chase, John Wick: Chapter 4 the most elaborate fight choreography in years, and Top Gun: Maverick the best flying ever filmed. Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning closes Ethan Hunt's story.
Die Hard, Heat, Predator and First Blood are the classics, and Fast X, Wrath of Man, The Equalizer, Now You See Me and World War Z keep the pace high.
The Action shelf mixes them with Bollywood's biggest.
War films
The war films on Flixster cover centuries. Gladiator, Braveheart, Troy and Kingdom of Heaven are the historical epics, full of battles and speeches. Saving Private Ryan opens with the most famous battle scene ever filmed, Hacksaw Ridge follows a medic who refused to carry a rifle into the fight, and Fury follows a tank crew in the last days of the Second World War.
Apocalypse Now is the Vietnam masterpiece, and from India, Uri: The Surgical Strike and this year's Border 2 bring modern warfare to the screen.
Heists and cons
Some of the most fun films are about clever plans. Ocean's Eleven gathers a crew of charming thieves to rob three Las Vegas casinos at once, Now You See Me turns a magic act into a series of heists, and Catch Me If You Can follows a real-life con artist who fooled everyone.
From India, Jewel Thief - The Heist Begins is the stylish diamond robbery, and Chennai Express and Happy New Year mix heists with comedy.
They are perfect when you want something light, clever and fast.
The classics
The films at the top of every greatest-ever list are here. The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile are the Stephen King prison dramas people love, Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan are Spielberg's war masterpieces, and Forrest Gump runs through thirty years of American history.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Apocalypse Now, Taxi Driver and Jaws are the seventies greats, and Gladiator and Braveheart the historical epics.
The Classics shelf gathers everything from before 2000.
The eighties and nineties
The eighties and nineties gave us the films people quote at dinner. Back to the Future and Back to the Future Part II are the time-travel adventures, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom the treasure hunts, and Top Gun the ultimate eighties film.
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Groundhog Day and Spaceballs are the comedies, Edward Scissorhands the fairy tale, and Mission: Impossible the spy thriller that started a franchise.
Crime films
The crime films are some of the best on the site. GoodFellas and The Godfather Part III cover the mob from two angles, Scarface follows Tony Montana's rise, and Once Upon a Time in America is Sergio Leone's epic of Jewish gangsters in New York.
Quentin Tarantino brings Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill: Vol. 1, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, and Martin Scorsese The Departed, Shutter Island, The Wolf of Wall Street and Killers of the Flower Moon.
Se7en, Gone Girl and Catch Me If You Can complete the shelf.
Monsters and creatures
For creature features, Jurassic World Rebirth sends a team to an island of mutated dinosaurs, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes jumps generations into the future of the apes, and Predator: Badlands tells a hunt from the Predator's side.
The Gorge puts two snipers on either side of a mysterious chasm, World War Z races across the world ahead of a zombie outbreak, and Men in Black keeps Earth's aliens under control with style.
Horror
The Horror shelf runs from the classics to this year. Halloween, The Shining, The Fly and The Sixth Sense are the films that shaped the genre, and The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 the modern haunted-house favourites.
Sinners, Weapons and The Substance were the talk of recent years, and 28 Days Later and 28 Years Later the zombie films that feel frighteningly real. Fall will make your palms sweat.
This year adds Scream 7, Evil Dead Burn, Lee Cronin's The Mummy and Backrooms.
Pixar
The Pixar films are here almost in full. Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3 and Toy Story 4 lead to this year's Toy Story 5. A Bug's Life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, WALL·E and Up made Pixar's golden decade.
Inside Out and Inside Out 2, Coco, Brave, The Good Dinosaur, Cars 2 and Cars 3 complete the shelf, and Hoppers arrives this year.
They are perfect with the family on a weekend afternoon.
Disney
The Disney classics start with Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Mulan and The Nightmare Before Christmas, and the modern favourites include Tangled, Frozen, Frozen II, Big Hero 6, Zootopia and Zootopia 2.
Moana 2 continued the voyage and this year's live-action Moana retells it, while Lilo and Stitch appears twice, as the Lilo & Stitch original of 2002 and the Lilo & Stitch remake of 2025. Mufasa: The Lion King goes back to the beginning of the Pride Lands, and Snow White retells the first Disney princess.
DreamWorks and Illumination
DreamWorks brings Shrek, Shrek the Third and Shrek Forever After, Kung Fu Panda, Over the Hedge, The Croods, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and The Wild Robot, one of the most moving animated films in years.
Illumination brings Despicable Me, Despicable Me 4, The Lorax and The Super Mario Bros. Movie, with The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Minions & Monsters this year. Ice Age, KPop Demon Hunters and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie round out the Animation shelf.
Family films in live action
For family nights beyond animation, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York sends Kevin to New York at Christmas, The Parent Trap swaps twin sisters between two parents, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory opens the gates of Willy Wonka's factory.
Bridge to Terabithia is the gentle story of two friends and an imaginary kingdom, Real Steel pits giant boxing robots against each other, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe leads four children through a wardrobe into a snowy world.
This year's Moana retells the ocean adventure in live action.
Young-adult adventures
The young-adult film boom is here too. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 follow Katniss Everdeen into rebellion, The Maze Runner traps a group of teenagers in a giant shifting maze, and Twilight started a vampire love story that filled cinemas for years.
Mean Girls and Student Of The Year are the school stories, one from Hollywood and one from Bollywood, and both are endlessly quotable.
The great sagas
Harry Potter runs from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone through Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to both parts of the Deathly Hallows.
Middle-earth has all three Lord of the Rings films, from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring to The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, and all three Hobbit films. The Pirates of the Caribbean run from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl to Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and The Maze Runner complete the adventures.
Comedy
For laughs, The Hangover and White Chicks are the rewatch favourites, Mean Girls the high-school classic, and Grown Ups the reunion of old friends. Groundhog Day is the comedy that repeats itself perfectly.
Barbie was the pink phenomenon of 2023, Knives Out the whodunit with a wink, Kingsman: The Secret Service the spy spoof, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the sweet treat. Ted 2 and The Cat in the Hat are for when you want something silly.
Romance
The Romance shelf has the love stories people return to. Titanic is the biggest of them all, The Notebook the one that makes everyone cry, and Pride & Prejudice the Jane Austen favourite.
You've Got Mail and The Parent Trap are the warm nineties comedies, Twilight the vampire romance, and Practical Magic the witchy one. No Strings Attached is the modern comedy, and this year brings The Drama and The Invite.
Drama
Some films stay with you. Good Will Hunting follows a janitor with a genius for mathematics, Dead Poets Society a teacher who changes his students' lives, and The Truman Show a man who discovers his whole life is a television programme.
Whiplash is the drumming duel between a student and his ferocious teacher, The Imitation Game the story of Alan Turing, and Hacksaw Ridge a medic who saves dozens of lives on the battlefield. Babylon and Everything Everywhere All at Once are the wild, big-hearted recent picks.
The 2000s
The 2000s gave us the great fantasy sagas and the first modern superhero films. Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings both began in 2001, Spider-Man swung into cinemas in 2002, and Batman Begins and Iron Man rebuilt two heroes later in the decade.
It was also the decade of Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Shrek, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, The Departed and The Prestige, and of comedies like The Hangover and Mean Girls. The Years page lets you walk through it one year at a time.
The 2010s
The 2010s were a remarkable decade for film, and the Years page lets you browse it year by year. Inception, The Avengers, Mad Max: Fury Road, Whiplash, The Wolf of Wall Street, Gone Girl and The Martian all came out in those ten years.
In India, the decade gave us Dangal, PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, The Lunchbox and Andhadhun. It is a great decade to explore if you have missed a few.
Hollywood for India
Flixster is looked up almost as much in India as in the United States, and that shapes the catalogue: Bollywood sits on the front page beside Hollywood, and the Hindi series have their own shelf.
Many Hollywood films on the big services in India carry Hindi audio, and often Tamil and Telugu too, so blockbusters like Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Jurassic World Rebirth can be enjoyed by the whole family. Open the Audio and Subtitles menu while the film plays and pick Hindi.
Watch Now for India shows JioHotstar, Netflix, Prime Video, Zee5 and SonyLIV side by side.
Bollywood: the big hits
The Bollywood shelf sits beside Hollywood because so many people in India look for Flixster. Dhurandhar was the Hindi blockbuster of 2025, and Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues the spy saga this year. Chhaava told the story of the Maratha warrior king, and Saiyaara was the romance of the year.
War 2 brought Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR together, and Jaat, Sikandar, Deva and Thamma filled the cinemas. Sitaare Zameen Par brought back the heart of Like Stars on Earth.
Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan's 2023 was one of the great comebacks in film history. Pathaan and Jawan were both huge action hits, and Dunki closed the year with a moving story of migration.
Before that came Chennai Express, Happy New Year and Dilwale, and Dear Zindagi, where he plays a gentle therapist, shows another side of him.
Search Shah Rukh Khan and all of his films appear together.
Salman Khan and the spy universe
Salman Khan's Tiger films form the heart of India's spy universe: Ek Tha Tiger started it, and Tiger 3 continued it. War, War 2 and Pathaan share the same world.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is his most loved film, the journey of a devoted man taking a lost girl home to Pakistan, and Sikandar was his 2025 release.
Hindi action
Hindi action is bigger than ever. KILL is the fight-on-a-train film that stunned audiences around the world, Animal the dark family saga, and Fighter the aerial thriller. Uri: The Surgical Strike, Attack and Phantom are the military and counter-terror stories.
Singham Again, Rowdy Rathore, Baaghi 3 and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan are all-out entertainment, and Jewel Thief - The Heist Begins is the stylish heist.
Bollywood in 2026
This year's Hindi slate is big. Border 2 returns to the famous war film, Welcome To The Jungle continues the comedy series, and Bhooth Bangla is Akshay Kumar's horror comedy. Mardaani 3 brings back Rani Mukerji's fearless police officer.
Cocktail 2, Tu Yaa Main, Toaster and Accused round out a varied year.
Hindi films with heart
Some of the best Hindi films are the quieter ones. 12th Fail follows a village boy studying his way to the civil service, Dangal a father who trains his daughters to become wrestling champions, and PK an alien asking questions about faith.
The Lunchbox is a love story told through notes, Sir a quiet romance across class, and Homebound, Superboys of Malegaon and Chandu Champion are recent favourites. Andhadhun is the thriller everyone recommends, and Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 1 the gangster epic.
Hindi series
The Hindi Series shelf holds the streaming shows India loves. Mirzapur is the gangster drama, Sacred Games the Mumbai crime epic, and Paatal Lok and Delhi Crime the gritty police stories.
The Family Man follows a spy juggling his secret job and his family, Farzi an artist who turns counterfeiter, and Panchayat a young engineer settling into village life. Heeramandi, Made in Heaven and Taskaree: The Smuggler's Web add drama, and Hostel Daze and College Romance the youthful comedy.
TV shows: new and ongoing
The TV Shows section of the front page is sorted by the newest dated episode. The Pitt follows a Pittsburgh emergency room through a single shift, MobLand a London crime family, and Reacher, Lioness, Tracker and Tulsa King bring the action.
Silo and Slow Horses are the Apple TV favourites, High Potential a genius mother helping the police, and this year brings Lanterns and Off Campus. Monster: The Ed Gein Story continues the true-crime anthology.
The Ongoing TV shelf lists every show still running.
Dated episodes
Every series on Flixster lists each season and every episode with the date it first aired. Open a season from the Seasons button on the series page and the episodes appear in order, numbered and titled.
The dates tell you when a season finished, which episode is the newest, and how long a show has been running. For an ongoing show like The Pitt or MobLand, new episodes appear with their dates as they air.
Press Reached this episode on the row you finished and your place is saved.
TV shows: the prestige dramas
Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul form one long story of crime in Albuquerque. The Sopranos changed television forever, and The West Wing made politics exciting.
Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon are the fantasy epics, Westworld the robot mystery, The Handmaid's Tale the dystopia, The Crown the royal drama, and Billions the battle of money and law in New York.
TV shows: the procedurals
The procedurals are perfect for an evening. NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Criminal Minds, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit run for hundreds of episodes.
Bones, Castle, The Mentalist, Monk, Psych and Elementary pair a brilliant mind with a detective, and Person of Interest, Bosch, Blue Bloods, The Blacklist, FBI and FBI: Most Wanted complete the shelf.
TV shows: first responders and medics
Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med share one city, and 9-1-1, Station 19, S.W.A.T., The Rookie and SEAL Team follow the people who run towards danger.
Grey's Anatomy, House, The Good Doctor, The Resident and New Amsterdam are the hospital dramas, each with its seasons and dated episodes.
TV shows: comedy
The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Modern Family, How I Met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men are the comfort favourites, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Superstore the sharper ones.
Young Sheldon, Ghosts, Abbott Elementary, Ted Lasso, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building and The Bear are the modern hits, and Gilmore Girls the fast-talking classic.
TV shows: animation
Family Guy, American Dad!, Rick and Morty, Futurama and Bob's Burgers are the grown-up cartoons, and INVINCIBLE the superhero series with a shocking twist.
Regular Show, Adventure Time, Teen Titans Go!, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, DuckTales and Looney Tunes Cartoons are the ones the whole family enjoys.
TV shows: fantasy and the supernatural
Stranger Things and Lost are the mysteries that hooked the world, and Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Charmed, Grimm and Lucifer the supernatural favourites. Once Upon a Time brings the fairy tales to a small town.
Doctor Who, The Witcher, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Wednesday and Avatar: The Last Airbender complete the fantasy shelf.
TV shows: heroes and space
The Boys turns superheroes into villains, and Smallville, Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Superman & Lois carry the DC heroes. Marvel's Daredevil is the street-level Marvel hero.
For space, The Expanse, For All Mankind, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: Discovery, Dark Matter and FROM are the science-fiction series worth your time.
TV shows: drama
Yellowstone and This Is Us are the family sagas, Suits, The Good Wife and The Good Fight the legal dramas, and Shameless and Desperate Housewives the ones full of chaos.
For younger viewers, Outer Banks, All American, Riverdale, One Tree Hill, Cobra Kai, You and Sex Education are the favourites, and The Chosen tells the life of Jesus through those who met him.
Most Viewed and Top IMDb
Most Viewed in the header opens the titles people are watching most right now, and changes day by day. It is the best place to see what everyone is talking about.
The Top IMDb page lists the best-rated titles with enough votes behind them: The Shawshank Redemption, Breaking Bad, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Pulp Fiction and Game of Thrones sit near the top.
The yellow badge on every poster shows the same score.
Searching Flixster
The search box in the blue header takes a title, part of a title, a star, a director or a year. Words like watch, free, online and HD are set aside automatically, so free spider man finds every Spider-Man film.
Add a season and episode to a series name, like Reacher s3e2, and the search goes straight to that episode. The search page adds filters for type, genre, year, language and country.
The search tips page has more.
My List
My List sits at the end of the header menu. Press Add to My List on any title and it is saved in your own browser, and My List shows your saved titles as the same poster grid.
For series, Reached this episode on a season page keeps your place. Export writes your list to a small file, and Import brings it to another device.
Everything stays private to you.
Watch Now and your country
Watch Now is the blue button on every title page, and the big round play button on the backdrop does the same. Pick your country once, press Watch Now again, and JustWatch opens with every service carrying the title there: Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Max, Hulu, Peacock, Paramount+, Apple TV, JioHotstar and the free services, each with its price.
Your country is remembered on every page, which helps families in the United States, India, the Philippines, Canada, the UK and Australia share recommendations.
The How to Watch guide has the steps.
Quality, subtitles and audio
The yellow HD flag marks a proper high-definition release, and the streaming apps choose the picture for your screen, from data-saving on a phone to 4K on a big TV. Big films like Dune: Part Two and Oppenheimer look their best in 4K on the premium plans.
Every app has an Audio and Subtitles menu for switching the soundtrack and turning on subtitles, and many Hollywood films carry Hindi audio in India.
The quality guide and the subtitles guide explain more.
Free options
Plenty of films stream free with ads. Tubi, Pluto TV, Plex and The Roku Channel carry big libraries in the United States, and JioHotstar, MX Player and YouTube carry free films in India.
Watch Now shows the free options for your country whenever a title has them. The free guide has more.
The app and the TV
This Flixster installs from your browser as an app. On Android choose Install app in Chrome, on iPhone choose Add to Home Screen from Safari's Share menu, and on a computer use the install icon in Chrome or Edge.
On a smart TV, browse on your phone and cast from the streaming app, or open Flixster in the TV's browser.
Safe and legal
Every Watch Now opens JustWatch, which lists only the services licensed to show a title in your country. The film plays in the official app, in full quality, with proper subtitles, and the people who made it are paid.
Install streaming apps from the official app stores, and sign in to a service only on its own app or website. The safety guide explains more.
A Flixster weekend
Need a plan? Friday night, a box office giant: Avengers: Endgame or Interstellar. Saturday afternoon, the family: Toy Story or Zootopia 2. Saturday night, Bollywood: Dhurandhar or Jawan.
Sunday, start a series: the first episode of The Pitt or Reacher, and save the rest to My List. If the weather is good, keep it light instead with Barbie or Knives Out, and leave the long series for a rainy evening later in the week, when a whole season can fill the hours nicely. Next weekend, Newly Added Movies will have something new waiting at the top.
